I LOVE GLYCELENE.
Everything I try from them, my skin L O V E S.
A little background on my skin ... lately, it seems to be super dry and like all people my age, I am starting to notice ALL the little fine lines - eek! So I've been on the hunt for products that address these issues and of course, makes my skin GLOW!
I usually use the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream for my body because it seemed to help with dryness and repairing the barrier of my skin. But now my skin feels a little parched after applying that, like it needs something more. So I finally admitted to myself that I need some grown up stuff. I mean, I care so much about my face and neck - why not care that much about my body, right?!?!
I took a Glycelene Master Class at Naimies, to touch and feel products, learn what goes well together. I decided my first experience in good body care should be with a brand I trust - Glycelene. I already have a lot their face products (I feel another blog post coming on) and have loved everything I tried, so I thought - why not try the body collection! I chose the Glisten Body Balm and the Chardonnay Body Butter in Moroccan Rose to start. In class, when I tried them on they felt amazing together. My skin felt hydrated, supple and had a glow. Just what I was looking for!
Now that I have been wearing them together for a few weeks, I can safely say that they are my favorite body products. My skin loves me again. No more itchy, dry skin and more importantly ... I GOT MY GLOW BACK!!!
Glycelene gives great tips on their website of how to use these products, so definitely give them a read. But this is how I use them: first I do the Glisten Balm all over and then I seal it all in with the Moroccan Rose Body Butter.
Glycelene Glisten Balm + Chardonnay Body Butter in Moroccan Rose = one amazing body skincare product cocktail!
Get ready for some seriously silky smooth skin!
Never heard of Glycelene? Well let me tell you! They are a luxury vegan skincare line from Southern California. It was created by celebrity makeup artist and skin care specialist Kim Borio. She also has a biologist and cosmetic chemist that works with her to help formulate and develop the products. You can read more about them here.
I first heard of the brand from a makeup artist friend - Alissa - on instagram. And then I started seeing posts all over social media. What caught my eye was the cool packaging and the information about what the products could do. For instance, they are known for their ointment-like products that are breathable and don't clog pores. Sounds amazing, right?! And I liked that Glycelene is vegan and doesn't contain a ton of sage in it (I'm allergic if it's pretty high up in the ingredients list) unlike some other natural brands.
Oh and the products smell soooooooo good! Not too overpowering or fragranty, just very natural. Something my sensitive sense of smell loves. If you are a migraine sufferer like me, you understand my pain with scented beauty products (eek). But these totally get my approval!
