Product Review | The Honest Company Lip Balm

I received  The Honest Company Sweet Orange Vanilla Lip Balm as a gift from a friend, and I'm so glad I did.  It was at a time when my lips were so painfully chapped and nothing was working.  I wasn't able to isolate the problem - diet? environment? - not sure, but I knew that all the lip balms I was using weren't helping or fixing the problem.  When I mentioned this to my teacher at esthetician school, she said those balms might be too occlusive therefore not allowing my skin to breathe. So when I tried this one on, it felt super light (like butter not wax) and all the yummy goodness melted right into my lips. It created a very thin barrier - just the right amount - which calmed and soothed my skin so that it could finally heal.

Fast forward to today, I still have this balm. Its my favorite. If I could tether it to my wrist I would.  I've even stocked my makeup kit with this - that's how awesome it is!

* Side note: even though this balm has the same first three ingredients (in different order) as Burts Bees wax (my old standby), it does not feel the same way.  It has a more luxurious feeling.
